James Ford, who top scored for Bideford in the win over Nomansland

NOMANSLAND opened their Blights Motors North Devon League campaign against Bideford at Westward Ho!, where they were defeated by 54 runs,

Bideford racked-up a total of 223 for the loss of eight wickets. Veteran James Ford top scored with 40, and there were contributions throughout the card. Next best were Julian Hayter (33), Ian Hayter (27) and Ewan Williams (27).

Elliot Cole, Greg Cole, and Dan Saunders all took a couple of wickets for the Witheridge outfit.

Saunders (45) and Elliot Butterfield (53)_ were the mainstay of the reply, However, once they were dismissed, only Elliot Cole (20) made a significant contribution. 

Sam  Beckley (4-41) was the star with the ball. Martin Stewart and Oliver Keates, both chipped in with a couple.

The rest of the NDL campaign failed to take place. Exford versus Newton Tracey 2nd XI fell foul of the weather. Braunton conceded their match at Hatherleigh.
