Helena Simpson Appointed Community Manager

The Devon Cricket Foundation is delighted to welcome Helena Simpson as our new Community Manager.

Following a restructure of our Community team, Helena joins from Kidney Research UK to lead the delivery and development of the Lord's Taverners Wicketz programme across Devon, MCC Foundation Hubs, and Walking Cricket. She will also be responsible for developing new initiatives that will engage people of all ages from all backgrounds and will be line managing the Foundation's Community Cricket Coaches across the county.

At Kidney Research UK, Helena worked as a community and events fundraiser. She also has prior experience in the educational charity sector, developing and delivering programmes for students across the South West, working closely with local schools and businesses to run inspiring STEM projects and various one-day events.

Helena plays her club cricket at Cornwood CC  and was part of the women's side who were crowned Indoor League champions in 2025, top scoring in the final against Exmouth CC at St Luke's School, Exeter.

On joining the Foundation, Helena said:

"I’m excited to begin my role as Community Manager and to contribute to the development of our well established community led initiatives.

"I’m looking forward to supporting accessible and inclusive programmes that help people across our county feel belonging within cricket."
