Chris Gayle among VIP guests at South Devon charity T20

FORMER Somerset favourite Keith Parsons has recruited some old friends and rivals to play in a charity match next Sunday.
Parsons is skippering a Celebrity Sports XI against a Professional Jockey's XI in a charity twenty20 game at South Devon CC in Newton Abbot.
Profits from the day will be shared between The Injured Jockey's Fund, The Tom Maynard Trust and South Devon CC's youth cricket section.
Parsons has signed up former Somerset team-mates Andy Caddick and Mike Parsons as well as Gloucestershire old boys Andy Stovold and Andy Brassington.
From the world of rugby union: James Simpson-Daniel, Andy Powell, Simon Danielli, Will Chudley, Ben White, Jonny Hill and Jack Maunder, a former Devon youth cricketer as well.
Kevin Nicholson, the Torquay United manager, and television presenters Nick Luck of Channel 4 Racing and Seth Conway of ITV Sport are in Parsons match-day squad.
Lined up against them is a Jockey's XI skippered by Tom Scudamore and including Richard Johnson, Warren Marston, Peter Scudamore, Joe Tizzard, Michael Scudamore, Colin Tizzard, Nick Scholfield, David Pipe and Sam Twiston-Davies.
There will be some top-notch sporting talent on the sidelines as ex-jockey Tony McCoy and West Indies T20 star Chris Gayle have both confirmed they are going along to support the teams and mingle with supporters.
Gayle is a firm favourite with the South Devon club who are hosting the game after he made a surprise appearance in last season's benefit game for Somerset's Peter Trego, ambling out of a hospitality tent to smash a few huge sixes.
If that isn't enough excitement, the word famous Red Arrows RAF display team will be performing a fly-over complete with trademark smoke trails during the game.
The Red Arrows will be detouring over Newton Abbot on their way to the Torbay Air Show the same day.
Admission to the game is by souvenir brochure costing £5 for adults, £3 for children aged 5-16, with under 5's free.
They can be obtained in advance from the South Devon CC office in Marsh Road, Newton Abbot, or from offices of match sponsors Wollen Michelmore solicitors in Newton Abbot, Torquay, Dartmouth, Barnstaple & Bideford.
Programmes will be available on the day at the gate, which will open at 12.30 pm, two hours ahead of the match starting at 2.30pm.
In addition there are a few spaces still available in the All Sport Insurance VIP Marquee. Tickets for this cost £15 per person and include seating plus a buffet tea.
