Tom Allin Memorial Day at North Devon CC today | match action all day | music long into the night

FORMER Warwickshire and Devon cricketer Tom Allin will be remembered during a festival of cricket at North Devon CC today (Saturday).
Tom was a bowling all-rounder who started out with Bideford then moved to North Devon CC before being talent spotted by Warwickshire and joining their staff in 2008.
Allin left pro cricket at the end of the 2013 season. Tragically, he took his own life in 2016. He was just 28.
Three games of 87 balls each – the number was on the back of Tom’s shirt when he played for Warwickshire – will be played in the fun-day tournament.
North Devon face Bideford in the first game at 10.45am. Bideford stay on to face an Allin XI at 1.15pm. The final match of the festival is between North Devon and the Allin XI at 4pm.
There will be an open raffle at 7pm with tickets available all day from the bar and all proceeds going to the Devon Air Ambulance. There will also be a silent auction/contact Jonny Green on 07792677756 if you wish to make a bid.
Prizes include: Craig Overton’s England shirt – signed by the Test squad currently playing India at the Oval; Craig’s Southern Brave shirt signed by the Hundred squad winners.
Chris Woakes’ Birmingham Phoenix Hundred Shirt signed by the player; Jamie Overton signed Surrey CCC shirt; a round of four-ball golf at Royal North Devon; two ground tickets to see Exeter Chiefs play Munster.
Post-match entertainment in the Instow pavilion will be provided from 7.30pm-ish from Over the Threshold.
