DEVON Youth system graduate Kazi Szymanski helped bowl Glamorgan 2nd XI to an innings win over Sussex in the Second Eleven Championship.

The 18-year-old paceman, who is on an Academy contract with Glamorgan, skittled Sussex with a first-innings haul of eight for 21.

Kazi SzymanskiSussex, replying to Glamorganâ•’s 366 for nine, were bowled out for 42 in 21 overs.

When Glamorgan skipper Alun Owen Morgan enforced the follow-on, Sussex were dismissed for 208.

Szymanski was rested until the shine had gone from the ball in the second innings and didn't take a wicket!

Szymanski started playing cricket with his brother Wojcieck at Chelston & Kingskerswell CC, where he was quickly talent spotted by Devon youth coaches.

A move to nearby Premier side Torquay was inevitable for the young paceman, who played in the Seasidersâ•’ title-wining team of 2015.

Glamorgan started showing an interest in Szymanski and offered him an Academy place in 2016.

Glamorgan work closely with Wales Minor County, who named Szymanski in their Unicorns T20 Cup squad for the double-headers against Cornwall on Bank Holiday Monday.
