Bowlers wanted to help Western Storm with Kia Super League preparations

WANTED! Local cricketers to net with the Western Storm squad taking part in this summer’s Women’s Kia Super League.
This is an opportunity for local cricketers – boys, girls and women – to be net bowlers to the squad, which includes three World Cup winning England players as well as West Indies Captain Stafanie Taylor and White Ferns Internationals Rachel Priest and Holly Huddleston.
A session took place at the University of Exeter on Thursday. Two more are planned.
The first is also at the University of Exeter sports ground near Topsham on Monday, August 7.
The final session is at the Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton on Friday, August 11
Trevor Griffin, the Western Storm coach, said: “The sessions are an opportunity for local cricketers to test their skills against international and academy players.
“Bowlers should be of county standard and players will need to cover their own expenses.
“If you want to help Heather Knight and her Western Storm squad prepare for the competition, contact confirming you age, skill and standard.”
