The popular MCC Foundation Hubs are set to return to Devon for 2025 across the whole county.

The MCC Foundation, the charitable arm of Marylebone Cricket Club, run a network of cricket Hubs that provide free-to-access training and match play to more than 3,000 state-educated young cricketers at 77 sites across the UK.

The West and South Devon MCC Foundation Hubs will return as they were last year, with the Devon Cricket Foundation's North and East Devon Girls' Hubs coming under the MCC Foundation umbrella for 2025.

The MCC Foundation Hubs are designed to reduce barriers to accessing cricket, provide equity of opportunity, broaden participation in the hardball game, and diversify talent pathways.

What are MCC Foundation Hubs?

MCC Foundation Hubs are 10-week winter coaching programme run by performance coaches with a focus on development and enjoyment.

The programme will also offer indoor and outdoor inter-hub match opportunities.

Who are they for?

Devon MCC Foundation Hubs are for state school girls Years 6-10.

Why sign up?

The Hubs not only help develop girls' hardball cricket skills, but also have an impact off the pitch by boosting confidence and developing social skills. One parent gave the following feedback on the 2023/24 Hubs:

"My daughter found the sessions to be lots of fun and really developed her skills and confidence to play cricket. It was also a great opportunity for her to meet other girls and make cricket friends outside our club.

"It was brilliant for Jasmine to see girls she had met at the MCC Foundation Hubs when playing matches and at festivals."
