Devon Women are inviting expressions of interest for the role of Head Coach for the 2026 Tier 3 campaign.

The Devon Cricket Performance Pathway is searching for a casual cricket coach who is passionate about developing women’s cricket and contributing to a positive, inclusive and high-performance environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Performance Pathway team to lead both training and matchday delivery throughout the season.

Reporting to

Chief Executive Officer

Key Responsibilities

Competition and Performance Management

  • Plan, prepare, deliver and review training programme.

  • Lead the team in ECB competitions and friendly fixtures, providing support and ensuring players are well-prepared and informed.

  • In collaboration with the selection committee, lead the selection of Devon Women teams, ensuring there is a clear and transparent process.

Operational Coordination

  • Work alongside the Devon Cricket Performance Pathway to manage all issues pertaining to matchday operations, preparation and logistics.

  • Liaise with internal and external matchday staff.

Talent Development and Pathway Alignment

  • Align coaching methods and practices within the Performance Pathway's overall objectives.

  • Work closely with the Head of Women & Girls' Pathway to ensure a seamless transition of talented players into the women's team.

Policy and Conduct:

  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and high-performance environment, adhering to safeguarding and welfare protocols in line with DCF and ECB guidelines.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum ECB Core Coach qualification (or equivalent)

  • Valid ECB DBS Certificate

  • Safeguarding & Protecting Children Certificate

  • Valid First Aid Certificate

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a coaching team

  • Availability to commit to the majority of outlined training sessions and matchdays

Desirable Qualifications

  • Minimum ECB Advanced Coach qualification (or equivalent)
