England Men's Physically Disabled team, featuring Cullompton CC's Brendon Parr, lost in the final of the Physical Disability Championships Trophy last week against India.
Having helped his side to second place in the group stage with 109 runs across six matches, including 46 in a 101-run win over hosts Sri Lanka, the Lord's Taverners Cricketer of the Year was unable to lead his side to the title.
Brendon could only add a further 12 runs to his tournament total, as England found themselves 2 wickets down inside the third over chasing India's 197, with captain Callum Flynn admitting that "India proved too strong and showed their class," before sharing his pride "of how we've performed over here in Sri Lanka."
India went on to win the final by 79 runs.
Speaking on his experience at the PD Championships Trophy, Brendon said:
"There's no better feeling than representing my country.
"I'm extremely gutted that we couldn't get over the line in the final, obviously, but it was an incredible few weeks in an amazing country!"
