Devon Women return to Wiltshire this Sunday, June 30, for their penultimate 50-over game of the season at Royal Wootton Bassett CC for an 11am start time.

Devon Women face Wiltshire for the second time in two weeks, having come out victorious earlier this month by 28 runs at Potterne CC.

Halfway through the ECB Women's 50-over County Championship season, Devon Women sit at the top of Group 3, level on maximum points with Gloucestershire but ahead courtesy of a favourable Net Run Rate. Wiltshire currently sit 9th in the table, having lost their only 50-over game of the season against Gloucestershire.

Wiltshire will be looking to get one over Devon following defeat last time out, having bounced back in their second T20 game at Potternce CC with a 2-wicket win over Hampshire.

Women's County T20 Group 4

On a fast-scoring ground, Devon posted a very competitive score of 159 for 4, centred around Ellie Bishop's fluent innings of 58 (43 balls). Wiltshire remained in the game throughout their reply and kept the run rate in check. The 18th over proved key to the result, with Katie Donovan picking up the wickets of Anna-Mae Shearn (36) and Flo Sharman (52) to break the partnership and set up the win. In the end, Devon won by 28 runs.

David Joseph's Thoughts

"We are really looking forward to the Wiltshire game. The T20 game earlier in the month resulted in a close, hard-fought win. I was pleased with the batting intent in the T20s and we're keen as a group to translate that into the 50-over game, along with bowling and fielding plans that worked well at Potterne.

"Ruby [Davies] is back from Loughborough University, so she will play her first game for us this season."

Captain's Thoughts

"I'm looking forward to getting back to the 50-over competition.

"We are looking to continue our strong start as a team and to build on it through our remaining fixtures."
