Devon Women return to T20 action for the first time this season with a double-header at Ivybridge CC against Cornwall and Gloucestershire on Sunday, May 26.

Devon Women have not played a T20 match on home soil since a double-header against Dorset and Cornwall at Heathcoat CC in May 2022. The side will be hoping for a repeat of that day as Devon Women came out on top in both games, beating Dorset by 7 wickets and Cornwall by 11 runs.

With two games played in the ECB Women's 50-over County Championship this season, Devon Women sit joint-top of Group 3 courtesy of back-to-back 7-wicket wins against Dorset and Cornwall.

Joining Devon at the top are Gloucestershire, who have also collected maximum points thanks to victories over Wales and Wiltshire.

Cornwall, meanwhile, have suffered back-to-back 7-wicket defeats against Somerset and Devon and sit 8th in Group 3.

David Joseph returns from his pre-planned holiday, with Sean Day resuming his assistant coach duties.

ECB Women's County Championship - 50 over

Devon Women moved to the top of the ECB Women's County Championship - 50 over Group 3 table with a clinical chase in their first home game of the season. Great bowling from Ellie Bishop (2-20) and Imogen Daldorph (2-5), and a super spell from Eliza Heard (4-8) left Devon with a target of 88.

An opening stand of 35 by Bishop (14) and Jemima Vereker (17) was followed up by a Regina Lilii (10) and Rose Ball (27*) partnership, before Hollie Perkin (6*) secured the winning runs in the 26th over.

David Joseph's Thoughts

"We've been really pleased with the positive start to the season and the number of players who've made important contributions.

"We are now looking forward to the T20s and a chance to show our skills in the short form of the game."

Captain's Thoughts

"I'm buzzing to get going in the T20s this weekend.

"A change of format and pace will be good for us and a new challenge for the squad to manage."
