Devon Cricket has launched its Equality, Diversity and Inclusion plan (#ONEGAME) detailing the progress that the organisation has made already and then aims to make over the next two years.
Devon Cricket is committed to building on the progress already made in the last few years and have identified key areas for action: Women and Girls, Diverse Communities and Disability. Across these areas there will be a focus on Governance and Policy, Education & Training, Growing the Game and Creating Welcoming Environments.
“We have ambitious plans underpinned by a commitment throughout the organisation to progress becoming a more inclusive, diverse organisation and to be able to welcome any person no matter their age or protected characteristics to join us and gain the enjoyment and health benefits of being part of our cricket family,” said Chairman Jon Sparkes.
"We strive to remove barriers to participation, tackle discrimination and increase participation from under-represented groups. We will do this at the same time as supporting and valuing the existing cricket network, by encouraging them to grow and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of cricket".
