Exeter (6th) v Hatherleigh (8th)
Exeter (Jon Lewis-Oliver): Some changes this week due to unavailability. Matt Kimber and Will Furniss return to the side, both having performed last weekend with bat and ball respectively. Click here to read statement from DCL on Exeter’s 60-point penalty.
Hatherleigh (Rob Cockwill): Mark Lake is being rested this week, Adam Quick can’t travel. In comes the in-form Greg Solkin and first- team specialist Will Edwards. Obviously we a the underdogs going into the game, so enjoying the day and getting as many points as possible is our aim, there is absolutely no pressure on us. Looking forward to sampling another cricket tea and seeing how it compares to previous weeks?
Sidmouth (9th) v Paignton (top)
Sidmouth (Taylor ingham-Hill): Only change this week is Charlie Gaywood, who comes back Dan Powell out.
Paignton (Harry Ward): Team unchanged after last week’s win. As a unit, we’re looking to build on last week’s performance as we prepare for what we will be a tough challenge at Sidmouth. so we know we’ll need to be up for it.
Tavistock (7th) v Exmouth (2nd)
Tavistock (Sean Cleave): Looking forward to welcoming Exmouth to The Ring this weekend! It’s been a fair few years since we last hosted them, so it’ll be great to have them back. This week we’re without James McGahey, who’s away and Will Scott-Munden (moving to Berkshire). Delighted to welcome Joshua Dorne (West Indies U19s) and we’re looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the team. We find ourselves in a much better position than we did
a couple of weeks ago, but we’re taking nothing for granted. We’ll continue to work hard, learn from our previous mistakes, and keep improving as a team. There’s still plenty of cricket to be played, and we’re excited for the challenge ahead.
Exmouth (James Horler): Myself and Lawrence Greenway come back in. Pete Turnbull is away, Josh Austin comes up from the 2nd XI. Obviously had a disappointing period over the last month, but the positives are we’re still within touching distance. Funny things happen when pressure is applied towards the end of the season. Goal is just to be in the mix at the end. Looking forward to a trip down to the Ring. Will be a new ground for a few of us.
Cornwood (3rd) v Plymouth (10th)
Cornwood (Matt Skeemer): No Ryan Rickard or Chris Parker this week so Charlie Finan and Josh Goodliffe come in.Derby with Plymouth needing a win so expecting a very tough game. VP’s day at the club so should be a good one.
Plymouth: Nothing to report.
Bradninch & Kentisbeare (5th) v Sandford (4th)
Bradninch & Kentisbeare (Gary Chappell): Decent availability. Few late calls to be made with some niggles. Adam Kent available to strengthen the batting. Sandford at home is always an enjoyable day and tough game and I don't see this being any different.
Sandford (Adam Small ): After a great result with a much changed side last week looking forward to the trip to Bradninch. It's always a competitive game against them, and they have rediscovered how to win, so it will be a tough one. Gary Chappell usually does well against us and he looks in good nick at the moment. Team news is going to have to wait. James Theedom is in Somerset's Metro Bank squad, which is great news for him. Matt Jeacock went in the back early in the game last week and Ryan Glass has just become a father and may be needed at home. Looking at our options, but confident that whoever ends up playing will stand up and give a good account of them
