AROUND THE WICKETS IN THE A DIVISION
Tavistock (8th) v Thorverton (6th)
Tavistock (Charlie Barriball): Just the two changes from last week sees myself back from sickness and debuting Clint McCabe (Ex-of Exeter and Twickenham) in for Brett Thomas and Max Fraser. Looking to bounce back from a poor result last week and get back on track, if the weather holds off.
Thorverton (Jake Choules): Better availability this week which has resulted in five changes. In come Dan Robbins, Andy Pitt, Harry Choules, Henry Squire and Sam Jefferson (pictured, right). Always a tough game at Tavistock. We don't have a great record there, but we will be doing our best to bounce back. Just hope the rain stays away as it always seems to make an appearance when we play Tavistock. We will also have an eye on Station Ground where we hope the 2s can pull off an upset against Shobrooke Park.
North Devon (top) v Plymouth (3rd)
North Devon (Jack Moore): Full strength this week minus James Tyson who's away. Didn't get much chance to have a look at Plymouth in the return fixture with a rain-off so looking forward to a good game.
Plymouth (Sam Stein): Looking to build on a great chase last weekend against a good Torquay side. Know we're going to be in for another tough game but we're looking forward to it. Tom Hughes, Harry Witcher and Zak Saleem back. My brother (Ben) can't travel this weekend, Nathan Birks has gone back home to Andover and Sam White is in the 2nd XI this weekend. We've got lots of good options each weekend so always a few ins and outs.
Bridestowe (2nd) v Abbotskerswell (10th)
Bridestowe (Tallan Burns): One change from last weekend's winning side. Dave Penberthy comes in as Ryan Dennis is unavailable. We've strung some really strong performances together so looking to keep our good run going. We'll be focused on what has brought us success in the last few weeks and look to bring that to Saturday's game.
Abbotskerswell (Ed Smout-Cooper): Inder Singh still out and James Tyler still away. New signings Steve Bishop and Jamie Shepherd come in. A few new faces so I am excited to see what impact they can have.
TORQUAY & KINGSKERSWELL (4th) v PLYMSTOCK (9th)
Torquay & Kingskerswell (Harry Passenger): No changes from last week’s team. Looking to put in a strong performance to get us back dancing around that top-two area.
Plymstock (James Nicholls): Prince Masvuare has been called up to the Zimbabwe squad for the test with Ireland, so we are without him for a couple of weeks. He has been brilliant on and off the pitch and we are all absolutely chuffed for him. Josh Hocken comes back up after a score in the 2nd XI last week. We still have more than enough to compete and hopefully the forecast is wrong and we can get a full game in against a strong side.
Kilmington (7th) v Hatherleigh (5th)
Kilmington (Brett Garner): Still waiting to finalise team, again a couple missing but also a couple back. Need to put in a performance if the weather plays ball! Expecting a tough game against a good side who likewise will be looking for a positive result.
Hatherleigh (Rob Cockwill): One change for this week as Sean Letheren is out (golf) Niall Leahy is back in. Looking to build on a good performance last week, and we hope to start looking up the table and not down. Kilmington are a good side especially at home and will be a tough test. But the next step for us is to start backing-up good performances.
