AUSSIE run getter Jono Lloyd is poised to reappear for Dartington & Totnes next season… 14 years after he last played for the club.
Lloyd is fondly remembered at Foxhole for topping 700 league runs in the 2010 season for the D&T side that finished fourth in the old C Division competition.
Lloyd showed what he could do with a match-turning 76 in a hurry for D&T in the team that defeated Feniton at Ipplepen CC to win the Corinthian Cup that summer.
And Stoke Gabriel were on the receiving end of an unbeaten 86 by Lloyd in an eight-wicket derby day defeat.
After successive defeats from the Tolchards DCL B Division and C Division West, D&T chairman Mick Rusling hopes Lloyd can give the club a lift.
“We are hoping Jono will be coming over to play for us,” said Rusling.
“Jono is a fine wicketkeeper-batsman and will be a very positive influence at the club.”
On the way out of Foxhole after two season with the club is match-day professional Dinesh Raheja.
“Dinesh will be moving on,” said Rusling. “We are grateful for his efforts over the past two seasons and wish him well.”
Raheja joined Dartington & Totnes from Ivybridge for the start of the 2022 season. He scored 920 league runs in 32 innings with an average in the mid-30s that included seven half-centuries and a ton against Brixham last season. His left-arm bowling accrued 24 victims over two summers.
