Bovey Tracey II (9th) v Barton (4th)
Bovey Tracey 2nd Xi (Dan Green): I am back this week; so is Ed foreman. Always a tough game against Barton and we know what we need to do to stay in this division. Waiting on Sam Veal as he has been ill for couple weeks now. Wishing him well and hope he is fit for Saturday.
Barton (Steve Lewis): We are having a few issues needing to tweak. Riley Calland in for Stu Bowker. Josh Parkinson in for Tom Cox. Tom Drake missing for personal reasons so we are thinking of the correct logical 11th for the balance. Just another game we are going to attack. Hard place to get a result for us, we know this. We will need to be at our absolute best to win.
Seaton (3rd) v Plymstock (7th)
Seaton (Tim Doulton): Sam Goodier and Ben Morgan come back into the side. Arthur Whitby and Archie Trott drop down to strengthen the 2nd XI. Plymstock are a strong side, particularly their bowling department, so we anticipate a challenging contest but one we are up for.
Plymstock (Tom Mitch): Mike Blackmore and Fraser Cowan come in for Archie Hall and Chris Davies, who are away. Looking for a bit of fight from the batting unit, Saturday performances haven’t been consistent enough so we know that has to improve.
Stoke Gabriel (top) v Ashburton (bottom)
Stoke Gabriel (Jack Tolley): A few changes this week for the visit of Ashburton, hoping the rain stays away this time around against Ashburton. Isaac Withington and Adriaan Maxwell come back in along with Sanjog Dabholkar to give us
another spin option. Out are Jean le Riche, Kyle Lardner and Sean Rooney. Still taking it one game at a time but two fantastic wins in the last two weeks! High on confidence but we are hungry for another big performance!
Ashburton (Lloyd White): A few changes from last week. Yabsley, Lewis, Pascoe and Warne all out. Berry, the Coon brothers and George Bannister return. Had some great games against Stoke over the years in the C West and we were gutted to be rained off at home earlier in the season. We'll keep fighting till the end. Out to ruin a few people's days along the way.
Bideford (2nd) v Plympton (5th)
Bideford (Jack Ford): Looking forward to another home game. James Hayter and Marcus Bulled both back in, great to have them back. Fred King back also a massive boost for us after his broken finger. Plympton are still an unknown to us this season as we were rained off down at their place. As always in this division we’re expecting another tough and competitive weekend of cricket.
Plympton (Harry Kandampully): Hoping to keep the roll going. Obviously a super tough place to go and win. Just going to try and do the simple things well. Team is still to be confirmed.
Braunton (8th) v Clyst St George (6th)
Braunton (Sam Reddick): A few changes as Sam Bithell’s pre-season football gets going and a couple more are away at Boardmasters. In come Theo Valeri, Ed Holmes and James Marsh. A big game in the context of our season. One we need to play considerably better in than our last two outings. Look forward to welcoming Clyst for our first dry meeting since the start of 2025.
Clyst St George (Par Singh): Few important players unavailable for the long trip to Braunton. In come club stalwarts Chris Ferro and Harry Attwater both former first-team skippers. Rids Asselman also returns to bolster the top order. Looking to continue on from last week’s result. Won’t be an easy game at all against Braunton, who will be at it from ball one.
