MATCH action was thin on the ground in the Tolchards Devon Cricket League, where not a single Saturday afternoon game was played to a finish due to bad weather.
The division worst affected by rain was the D Division West, were just 25 overs were bowled in the three games that started.
Chagford’s away game at Ivybridge only lasted seven balls before the teams came off. The home side were three for one at the time.
Sam Northmore was the man just dismissed by Ollie Thomas when play was halted.
Abbotskerswell 2nd XI reached 31 for three at Tavistock. Nick Guest (11) and Erik Gregersen (12) limped into double figures.
Marc Lewis struck with the fifth ball of the game to send back Abbots’ opener Simon Harrison.
Guest was added to Lewis’ figures (2-12) before the entertainment ended after 14 overs.
Yelverton were 37 for three halfway through the 10th over when they went off against Plymstock 2nd XI.
Plymstock’s Matt White, formerly of Plymouth and Plymouth CS&R, claimed two of the three wickets to fall.
The games between Ipplepen 2nd XI and Barton, and Torquay & Kingskerswell against Plymouth CS&R, were non-starters.
