Devon Women head into the final round of Vitality Blast Women's League Three double-headers on Sunday, 24 May, with a place at Finals Day on the line.

With Sunday's double-header set to be our annual dedicated Her Game Too fixture, Budleigh Salterton CC are also hosting a Bank Holiday BBQ on the day, with breakfast being served from 9am-11am before firing up the grill between 12pm-3pm (vegetarian options will also be available).

Devon must secure two wins against last year's defending champions, Wiltshire, and hope results in Berkshire go their way in order to finish top of Group 1A.

Wiltshire had progressed to finals day last year courtesy of a superior net run rate, as Devon's double bonus point wins against Hertfordshire on the final day left them agonisingly short of progressing, before beating Buckinghamshire by 6 runs at Wormsley CC to secure the title.

Devon have still not secured their place in Division 1 for 2027, with bottom-place Oxfordshire sitting just one win behind in the relegation spot. They travel to a Berkshire side who go into the final double-header of the season on the back of back-to-back defeats at top-of-the-league Wiltshire.

The last time Wiltshire visited The Holt, Devon claimed victory by virtue of a revised low target after a freak incident stopped play and brought the day's proceedings to an end just eight overs into their run chase in the first game of the day.

Lauren Rowles's Pre-Match Thoughts

"I couldn't be more excited to see this group go again this weekend. The squad has put together some really strong performances in recent weeks, and there's a real sense of momentum building across the group.

"The players have been working hard, growing in confidence, and showing exactly what they're capable of. I'm sure they will deliver another couple of fantastic performances as we keep pushing forward together!

"With the forecast set for a scorcher, it's shaping up to be a brilliant day of cricket."

Regina Lilii's Pre-Match Thoughts

"We need to carry our momentum from the previous round straight into this weekend against Wiltshire, sticking to our strengths as we fight for a spot in the T20 finals.

"Ultimately, these matches will come down to who can execute the basics well and adapt to match situations as quickly as possible.

"If we trust our game plans, back each other in every facet and bring that high energy, the results will take care of themselves."

Metro Bank One Day Cup Women's League Three - Division 1

Devon Women produced a professional and powerful run chase to tighten their grip on top spot of Division 1 with two games remaining. The game ended up being the final full game of the regular season, with trips to Cheshire and Staffordshire being rained off before Devon eventually succumbed to second-placed Berkshire in the final.

Having elected to field, Devon's bowlers faced a stubborn resistance led by Wiltshire captain Emily Smith (72). Katie Donovan (4-40) was the standout in her final game before leaving for international duty, claiming the early wicket of opener Emma Godman (2) before mopping up the tail, while debutant Maddie Russell (2-44) provided crucial early strikes. Further wickets from Ellie Bishop (1-33) and Imogen Daldorph (1-21), and the crucial run out of Isla Thomson set Devon a target of 201.

In response, Devon's chase was never in doubt after Elle Golsworthy was dropped at third slip in the opening over. Golsworthy (95) took centre stage with a third 50 in her last four Devon Women matches, as she and Jemima Vereker (32) laid the foundation with a commanding 110-run opening stand. Though she fell agonisingly short of a deserved century, the job was all but done. Regina Lilii (27*) and the composed Ella Gill (15*) guided Devon home with eight overs to spare, their unbroken 43-run partnership a clinical finish.
