Devon Women can confirm that Head Coach Lauren Rowles has departed to pursue a new opportunity.

Lauren joined Devon Women in April 2026 and oversaw 14 matches, narrowly missing out on the Vitality Blast T20 Finals Day and falling just 12 runs short of a Vitality T20 Women's County Cup match upset against Glamorgan. The highlight of her tenure was undoubtedly leading the side to the Metro Bank One Day Cup League Three title in September, the club's first title in since the restructuring of the women's game in 2025.

Devon Cricket Chief Executive, Matt Theedom, said: "Lauren has been a breath of fresh air since she arrived earlier this year. In the short time she has been with us, she has really helped drive the women's county game forward, and she leaves us with our sincere thanks and best wishes."

Lauren added, "Coaching Devon Women this summer has meant a great deal to me. Even in a short space of time, this group has shown such character, talent and togetherness, and seeing them lift the 50-over title was incredibly special.

"I'm genuinely sad to be stepping away, because I've loved working with them and believe they're only just getting started. Devon is full of players who will continue to grow, push standards and achieve even more in the years ahead.

"I'm grateful for the support I've had and will always look back on this summer with huge pride and affection."

Everyone at Devon Cricket thanks Lauren for her contribution to Devon Women and wishes her all the very best for the future.
