Devon Women enter the Vitality T20 Women's County Cup with a Round 1 tie away at Dorset on Monday, 5 May.
Devon go into the T20 cup on the back of successive home victories in the Metro Bank One Day Cup against Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
Dorset come into the game having lost both of their opening T20 season matches in a double-header against Oxfordshire last weekend.
The winners of Monday's fixture will host Suffolk in Round 2 next weekend, while a visit from Tier 1 Bears Women (Warwickshire) awaits in Round 3 the following weekend.
David Joseph's Thoughts
"We’ll reflect on what’s gone well in the 50-over games and look to execute those skills in the shorter form.
"We are now in knockout cricket mode, so we will have to be at our best on Monday. We’ve picked a squad which gives us a lot of options. We are really looking forward to the challenges ahead in Bournemouth."
Captain's Thoughts
"This round of games is a first for women’s county cricket with the new tier structure. It can provide some really exciting opportunities and games for players to potentially play against fully professional players if squads can make it to the third round.
"There’s a new kind of pressure with this competition where everything counts. It will challenge us to play our best cricket consistently and effectively.
"I’m very excited to be a part of this new chapter of the women's game."
Jemima Vereker's Preview

A Devon side captained by Ruby Davis were reduced to 26 for 3 at the end of the powerplay, but a crucial partnership of 75 between Emma Corney and Ellie Bishop helped the visitors to finish the innings 128/7.
Dorset only managed 82 for 9 in response thanks to disciplined bowling from Devon, particularly from spinners Eva Lewis 3-15 and Steph Hutchins 2-11.
