Devon Women's Assistant Coach, Jon Musikanth, has embarked on the UK's most iconic cycling challenge in an effort to raise funds for the side.
In what was, by his own admission, "a very last-minute decision," John set off from Land's End on Monday, 14 July, with the aim of reaching John o' Groats by 13 October.
"It's a challenge I have wanted to take on for years," said Jon when the Devon Cricket Foundation caught up with him in Crediton last week.
Jon joined Devon Women's coaching staff in April 2026 as Head Coach Lauren Rowles's Assistant, with the team going on to be crowned Metro Bank One Day Cup League Three Division 1 champions in August.
"Devon Women are a fantastic group of talented and committed cricketers who deserve support. If everyone who sees this donated and encouraged one other person to do the same, we could raise an amazing amount for Devon Women.
"Throughout Devon, there is a remarkable depth of talent, commitment and enthusiasm. However, developing that talent requires resources. Additional funding would enable us to provide greater developmental support for women and girls' cricket across the county."
Every donation made through the Beacon platform in the link above will go directly to the Devon Cricket Foundation and be ring-fenced for Devon Women's Cricket Team.
