Role Description and Person Specification

Following the decision of Ed Leverton to stand down from the League Management Committee in May 2026, the League wishes to appoint a successor to sit on its Development Sub-Committee (DSC), with principal responsibility for the management of the League’s two grant schemes, which are open to all DCL member clubs:

  • Discretionary Development Grant scheme
  • Emergency Relief Grant scheme

Management of Grant Scheme Applications

The post holder will be responsible (working alongside other members of the DSC) for the management and promotion of both grant schemes, including:

  • Being the primary contact point for applications to the scheme.
  • Reviewing all applications received to ensure that they meet the scheme criteria.
  • Consulting with DSC colleagues on the outcome of the applications.
  • Liaising with the League Treasurer regarding payments, as appropriate.
  • Liaising with the applicant club regarding the outcome of their application.
    • Note: Successful applicants are asked to provide a report on their project.
  • Providing reports /updates on applications to the League Management Committee (LMC).
  • Promoting news of the schemes to raise awareness amongst member clubs, via the Devon Cricket Foundation Media Officer.

Time Commitment and Remuneration

This is a voluntary post, involving no more than 1 hour a week (on average).

The position does not come with any remuneration; like many roles within the League's LMC, it is a voluntary position (expenses are reimbursed). However, a modest remuneration would be considered for a suitably experienced person.
