Devon Women continued their perfect start to the 2026 Metro Bank One Day Cup with another historic bonus-point victory over Cambridgeshire at Exeter CC.
Batting first after winning the toss, Devon's innings was built around Regina Lilii’s 137 from 125 balls, which included 13 fours. She shared key partnerships with Jemima Vereker (48) and captain Stephanie Hutchins (46) before adding 122 with Georgia Read (33) for the sixth wicket. Extras (67) proved a significant contributor to the total, though Cambridgeshire’s Jessica Mccrum (5-66) claimed a five-wicket haul.
Devon closed on 395/9 from their 50 overs, beating the previous high score by the team of 378 set in May against Berkshire, with Lilli's knock of 137 registering as the fifth highest score for Devon Women since Play-Cricket records began.

Cambridgeshire's reply never gained momentum, as Katie Donovan (1-7) removed Abi Davis with just the fourth ball of the innings, before leaving the pitch injured before the fifth over. Abbie Lockett (3-35) then proceeded to remove the top order, reducing the visitors to 65-4 after 12 overs. Ellie Bishop (3-21) then dismantled the middle order, while Esther Woolley (2-35) added further breakthroughs. Millie Rawlins offered resistance with an unbeaten 69, but she ran out of partners as Cambridgeshire were bowled out for 168 in 36.1 overs.

Lauren Rowles's Post-Match Thoughts
"Absolutely buzzing after watching the women on Sunday. In tough, hot conditions, we delivered a dominant performance against Cambridgeshire, showcasing real quality and resilience.
"A special mention to Regina Lilii, who produced her first century for Devon with a brilliantly composed innings in the challenging heat."

Regina Lilii's Post-Match Thoughts
"What a day out for the team, you really couldn't ask for much more! There's such a brilliant vibe and buzz around the group right now, and every match, someone different is stepping up. That's a huge credit to Rowlsey and Jon for the great team culture they've helped build this season. Everyone has fully bought into the team-first concept and our 'lion mentality' brand of cricket.
"We raised the bar once again on Sunday. Obviously, I was stoked to contribute to what was a record-breaking total, but individual performances aren't possible without awesome teammates. It's the batting and bowling partnerships, backed up by gutsy fielding, that actually win matches, and I'm proud to say as a group we pretty much nailed it.
"However, we definitely don't want to stop here. As good as this win was, we still haven't played our absolute best cricket yet. We’re going to keep pushing and looking to improve as a squad in all areas as we gear up for Shropshire in a couple of weeks!"
