Grace Thompson top scored for Sidmouth with 6 runs, ending their innings on 22 all out. Budleigh lost one wicket, but chased down the target in 3 overs.

T20 Plate Group A

Hatherleigh led a strong bowling line-up to restrict Plymouth to 91 runs off their 20 overs. Molly Searle (21) top scored for Plymouth, with help from Lily Innes (10) and Poppy Tucker-Hart (9).

Despite the low total, Hatherleigh didn’t make it an easy chase. Losing some early wickets put Plymouth in control. However, contributions from Jessica Dennis (14), Angie Rose (12), and Chloe Dennis (10*) guided the side to victory in the 12th over.

T20 Plate Group B

Exmouth’s second team took on Clyst St George, losing the toss and getting put into field first. Clyst got off to a good start, with an opening partnership of 44 runs between Alyssia Hayes (14) and Chloe Williams (42), but the bowling of Sarah Antonio (3-5-4) saw Clyst’s batting order tumble, finishing on 120/9.

Exmouth began the chase well, with a solid partnership between Jasmine Strode (22) and Tilly Brenton (28) of 45 runs until Strode was run out by Williams. However, valuable contributions from Anna Higgins (18) and Lucy Webb (29*) helped their side complete the chase in the 18th over.

T20 Plate Group C

Cullompton took on their second ever hardball game against Taunton Deane, losing the toss and put into field first. Taunton got off with an opening partnership of 55 runs between openers Imogen Dunne (39) and Harriet Kelly (12), however the bowling of Maisy Hodgkinson and Gurnaazdeep Kaur helped to reduce the run rate as wickets fell. Taunton ended their innings on 163/6.

Cullompton struggled to score consistently against the bowling of Taunton, with early wickets falling, with Amelie Keal and Martha Wilkes taking 2 each. Despite the best efforts of Tina Philips (20) and the aggressive bowling attack, Cullompton batted out their overs, but ended 85 runs short.
