Last month South Brent Primary School were lucky to have a special visit from Torquay and Somerset’s Sonny Baker!

Sonny took time out to visit the school as part of their Mental Wellbeing and Active Lives Week. As part of an inspiring assembly Sonny talked about his path into professional cricket and the challenges he has faced. Most recently Sonny fractured his back at the start of the U19 World Cup, he explained to the children how he dealt with the setback mentally and what he has to do to come back from a very serious injury which included wearing a back brace for 2 months. The children were able to ask Sonny some superb questions before taking part in some indoor cricket sessions.

Sonny has also recently paid a visit to his old primary school Oldway Primary in Paignton. A big thank you to Sonny for taking the time out to visit these schools and help inspire the next generation of cricketers.
