Sunday, September 1 at Budleigh Salterton is finals day

CRASH-bang-wallop cricket brings down the season at Budleigh Salterton on Sunday at the Vitality U19 Club T20 finals day.

Television broadcaster Mark Tyler will be manning the microphone and the music decks during finals day to bring players and spectators the genuine T20 experience.

Abbotskerswell went through thanks to the rule-book in the South pool after dead-heating with Paignton on 36 points.

The tie-breaker was which side won the first meeting between the teams and that was Abbots

Abbots will face Exeter at 10am in the morning semi-final.

Exeter were the clear winners in the Mid-Devon group, topping the table from Heathcoat

The stand-out player for Exeter en-route to finals day has been James Bovey, who is averaging 102!

The second semi-final (1pm) is between Hatherleigh, who edged the North qualifying pool from Newton Tracey, and Cornwood.

Greg Solkin averaged 49.50 from three trips to the middle that brought him 99 runs.

Cornwood did not lose a game in the West pool, which they won by a six-point margin from Plymstock. The headline batter for Cornwood with a whopping average of 129 is Ciaran Gray.

The final is booked for 4pm.
