BIDEFORD, Belstone and North Devon remain the one-two-three at the top of the Blights Motors NDL Division One after all won comfortably in the latest round of matches.

Bideford travelled to Newton Tracey, were they had an easy six-wicket win. Newton were bundled out for 128. Extras contributed 37. Graham Persson (27), and Oliver Symons (25)were the only other significant scorers.

There were three wickets each for Sam Beckley (3-23) and Oli Keates (3-32). Jim Keates (2-14) took a couple.

Julian Hayter led the chase from the front with an unbeaten 52. Marcus Bulled was there at the end with 21 as Bideford won with 17 overs in hand. Domi Moore (2-37) and Dominic Robson (2-29) had two wickets each for Newton. 

Belstone entertained Westleigh at Rew Meadow, where they won by 60 runs.

Belstone totalled 231 for five in 40 overs. Phil Woods led from the front, with an unbeaten 109. He shared a second-wicket partnership of 150 with Matt Dennis (73). Former B&P starlet Ian Wheatley (2-46) took a couple of wickets for Westleigh.

Westleigh were in with a shout at 168 for five, thanks mainly to the Poole boys, James (52), and Tom (55).

A spectacular collapse followed as Westleigh lost their last five wickets for three runs. Craig Penberthy (4-30) took the bowling honours. Harry Bushin and Marcus Walters had a couple of wickets each.

Heathcoat were the visitors at Instow, where North Devon were nine-wicket winners.

Opener Finn Stoneman, who eventually top scored with 45, had to watch Jack Moore (5-15) decimate the top order after Heathcoat elected to bat first. Christopher Salter scored a stoic 20, and was last man out with the score on 108

It took North Devon just over 14 overs to knock-off the runs, thanks to 59 not out from Roshan Lakmal and an unbeaten 34 for Navindu Vanderbona.

Leaders Hatherleigh defeated second-placed Exford by six wickets despite making the long trip there a man short. Who needs 11 when Niall Leahy is in your team?

Exford batted first and racked-up an all-out score of 248. Renjeesh Krishnan top scored with 50, and there were 40-plus scores for Jonah Hopkins (48), Oli Ahern (46), and Vishnu Kombath (45).

Each of the seven Hatherleigh bowlers took a wicket. Henry D'Alberti Nicholson led the way with three for 25.

It was the Niall Leahy show after the break. His with a spectacular innings of 185 not out took Hatherleigh to victory with more than eight overs in hand.

Leahy hit 26 fours and seven sixes in his 116-ball innings, which included stands of 87 with Oscar Moore and 125 with Danny Forrester (21)

Victoria Park travelled to Barnstaple & Pilton, where they won at a canter by 108 runs.

Will Anderson hit 15 fours on the way to scoring 103. He found support from Ian Brown (36) as Viccy Park reached 204 for six. 

Dom Chugg took a pair of wickets for B&P then top scored with 47 in a lowly reply of 96 all out.

Rob Guppy (5-10) took the bowling plaudits for Victoria Park.

Braunton were unable to raise a side to travel to Holsworthy.
