The Devon Cricket Foundation has partnered with Opening Up Cricket to deliver a mental wellbeing webinar on 29 April.
Opening Up Cricket are a charity run by cricketers for the cricket community which was formed in response to the death of Sefton Park CC wicket-keeper, Alex Miller, and a will to promote positive mental health in our sport.
Opening Up Cricket have previously worked with Ashburton CC and Bridestowe CC on mental health and wellbeing initiatives.
At the Devon Cricket Foundation, we are keen to develop a network of club officials to champion mental health initiatives. The webinar on the evening will feature a talk on mental wellbeing from Mark Boyns, founder of Opening Up Cricket, and Marcus West will speak on the work done at Ashburton CC.
The evening will end with an opportunity to discuss how the topic of mental wellbeing can be embedded into clubs across the county.
