Devon Women are back in 20-over action as the T20 Vitality Blast! Women's League Three get underway at Wokingham CC on Sunday, 15 June.
Following the conclusion of the Vitality T20 Women's County Cup and the first block of the 50-over Metro Bank One Day Cup, Devon now approach a set of six T20 fixtures over the course of the next five weeks.
The first of three double-headers takes place on Sunday against a familiar opponent, as Devon beat Berkshire in the opening game of the season at The Holt in April.
Sunday's hosts have recovered well from the opening day setback, securing back-to-back Metro Bank One Day Cup victories to lift themselves to second place in the table and reaching Round 2 of the Vitality T20 Women's County Cup, where they were defeated by Tier 2 Kent.
David Joseph's Thoughts
"As coaches, we have had time to reflect on the Vitality T20 Women's County Cup run, have looked at the positives and also the areas we can look to develop moving into the T20 Vitality Blast! Women's League Three competition.
"We continue to pick a young and talented squad who are fast gaining experience and are really looking forward to seeing what they can achieve in the next block of fixtures."
Captain's Thoughts
"We are focused and ready to build on the hard work we have been putting in throughout the season and in our [Vitality T20 Women's County] cup run.
"The Vitality Blast always brings out the best in competitive spirit when you think about what the competition stands for, and we're looking forward to stepping onto the field and putting in a performance that reflects the depth and character of this young team.
"Berkshire are a quality side as we already know, having faced them in the Metro Bank Competition, and we will need to be sharp in all departments, but there's great energy in the group and we are excited for the challenge. Our younger players continue to step up, and the experienced heads are leading by example; it's a good mix and one that's been growing stronger with each game.
"We're aiming to play with freedom, back our skills, and enjoy every moment out there. We have done a lot of great things already this season and continue to be an example to female cricketers within Devon."
Eva Lewis' Preview
"We're feeling quietly confident ahead of our T20 double-header against Berkshire this Sunday. The Vitality Blast presents another opportunity for the team to showcase our skills.
"After staying unbeaten in the 50-over format and putting together a strong run in the T20 knockouts, the team is in a good place, so we'll be looking to carry that momentum into this weekend's games."

ECB Women's County Championship - Metro Bank One Day Cup Women's League Three - Division 1
Devon Women clinched a four-wicket victory over Berkshire in their opening game of the Metro Bank One Day Cup thanks to a superb all-round performance at an overcast Budleigh Salterton.
A wet outfield caused by heavy rainfall the previous few days delayed proceedings by an hour, reducing the number of overs to be bowled by each team to 42.
After dismissing Berkshire for 147 in 37 overs, led in large part by Katie Donovan's sensational 5-28, Devon's chase stuttered early as Freya Johnson quickly removed openers Jemima Vereker and Elle Golsworthy.
In reply, Ellie Bishop anchored the innings with an unbeaten 63, and a crucial 64-run stand with Regina Lilii (28) steadied the ship before late contributions from Georgia Read, Megan Hayward, Steph Hutchins and Ella Gill saw Devon over the line with 2 overs to spare.
