Whether you are starting your cricket journey as an All Star, joining a club with your friends to play softball or are an established hardball cricketer with aspirations to play for your country, Devon Cricket is working hard to make sure that there is cricket for you to play.

In order to do this, Devon Cricket offers a varied programme for girls, working in partnership with clubs, schools, development and county age group cricket to create a pathway for girls in cricket.

With the appointment of Ann-Marie Presswell, the Women and Girl's Development Officer, new initiatives and better links are being made to build the particiapation and opportunities for girls in cricket.

Working with clubs and schools, we are hoping to ignite the love of cricket by providing all girl opportunities to play cricket in one of these competitive frameworks:

Lady Taverners Hardball Under 13 and Under 15 tournaments (club)

Lady Taverners Softball Under 13 and Under 11 tournaments (club)

Schools Festivals during May and June, leading to regional and county finals (schools)

Indoor Lady Taverners Competitions Under 13s and Under 15s (schools)

Softball league cricket fixtures (club)

Hardball league cricket fixtures (club)

As a county board we are working with clubs to provide more opportunities for all girls to access at different levels thorugh different experiences, such as

Under 11 softball festivals

Hardball Super 8s Competitions

One off events, such as Colour Me Cricket or Cricket in the Dark

Softball festivals in secondary schools

Development and county age group cricket

No matter where a girl lives in Devon, we want to ensure that she is able to access the cricket that she would like to play and make the most of opportunities given to her through school, club and beyond.
