The top Kwik Cricket schools from across the County came together at Bovey Tracey CC to see who would be the best of the best in Devon. 9 schools played a Round-Robin format to crown the County Champions, with three of the schools making thier debut at Finals Day.

Early wins set Rydon, Stoke Hill and Plymouth College Prep as the teams to beat.  The final round of games saw Hyde Park tie in a last ball thriller with Rydon meaning they finished 4th and 3rd respectively.  So, the two undefeated teams had to be separated by runs scored - as was the case in the Mixed competition the day before.  Things could not have been much closer with there being just 5 runs in it.  After seven years of near misses, Stoke Hill were elated to finally achieve their goal of becoming County Champions, leaving Plymouth College Prep to collect the silver medals.

Thanks go to Bovey Tracey CC for hosting the event, to Ken Jeffrey and his team of umpires from DACO, and to the schools, staff and students for their participation.

Good luck to Stoke Hill in the Regional Finals in Bristol next month.
