HUGO Whitlock, Matt Thompson and skipper Jamie Stephens will all feature for Devon for the first time this season in Sunday’s NCCA Trophy group game against holders Berkshire at Henley.

Work commitments prevented Stephens and Thompson playing in the T20 cup games that finished earlier this month – and Whitlock was revising for exams at university.

Thompson, a former captain, has been the first-choice keeper for more than a decade as well as a consistent run-getter in all forms of the game.

Devon are in the same qualifying pool as Berkshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cornwall.

The top two in each five-team group qualify for the knockout stages, which start on July 17.
