PREMIER PROSPECTS

HATHERLEIGH v PLYMOUTH

Hatherleigh (Mark Lake):Two changes: Gareth Tidball and Achilles Browne are back in. Looking to continue from last week’s win at Paignton and get some momentum into the season. We have had some good and close games against Plymouth in the past and this will be no different. They pushed Heathcoat all the way last week, which is no easy thing to do.

Plymouth (Richard Goldsby-West):Out: Ben stein (away) and myself (injured). In: Harry Stephenson and Rob Bennett. Skipper for the next two weeks is Joe Hagan-Burt. Comments: Keep bowling the way we have done in the first two games. Bat the overs and value our wickets. There has been a great atmosphere within the group since the start of the season and we go again this week looking to fight for every point.

HEATHCOAT v BOVEY TRACEY

Heathcoat (Peter Randerson):A few changes this week. Toby Lochead is back in the top order following some great form in the 2ndXI. I am hopeful we will see Christian Cabburn and Rob Pryke come back in following some time out with shoulder injuries We haven't strung together a strong, all-round performance yet so hopefully we can do that this weekend. Bovey look a great side and always bring a strong and competitive side so we will need to be on form to get a result this week.

Bovey Tracey (Lewis Hammett): Going to be a challenging one with Heathcoat two from two. They haven't been convincing yet though, but their early team news suggests they look strong.  We have a few changes with Ash, Causey Sam Taylor and Charlie Hill unavailable. Myself, Elliott Adams and Chris Bradley are back in. Looking to cause an upset this week and build on a fantastic team win last week. Improvements to be made though. Forty extras last week,  which made the chase that bit harder.

CORNWOOD v SIDMOUTH

Cornwood (Elliot Staddon): One change from last week’s side with Max Finzel unavailable due to his brother getting married. James Richardson comes back into the side. A very pleasing performance and win last week which we will look to build on this going into Saturday. Still a few areas we are looking to improve on. The team are excited to be playing against what will be a good Sidmouth side.

Sidmouth (Cameron Grainger):Tom Simmons is back in the team after a recent injury and is fit to bowl, which should provide us will a more aggressive bowling attack. With lots of competition for places within the club, I am looking for some headline performances. Batsmen need to be greedy and take their chances. Consistency is key for our bowlers.

PAIGNTON v BRADNINCH

Paignton (Mark Orchard):Divyaansh Saxena (overseas) is here this week and will come into the side, Not finalised the 11 yet but won't be making wholesale changes. Lads need a good run in the side as they won't learn anything by playing one or two games here and there then being taking out. They need a good run to show they're good players. I fully expect a response this week after last week and the boys fully understand what they need to do this week to produce that.

Bradninch (Gary Chappell):A few in and a few out. Mitch Pugh is back, which is great news, but no Dan Hardy this week. Hopefully, the overseas will be here but still a waiting game. Looking to get back to winning ways and learn the lessons from last week.

SANDFORD v NORTH DEVON

Sandford (Richard Foan):Sandy Allen and Ricky Hopwood are back in this week. Both have Minor County experience so will help improve the side. We did not do too much wrong last week against Bovey and are looking for another improved performance this Saturday. We had a good win over Newport on Sunday in the National Knockout Cup.

North Devon (Tom Popham):Batsmn Dan Bowser out due to finger injury. Will Popham in for first-team league debut. Keep building, especially with the bat, by making game-controlling partnerships whether we bat first or second. And trying to keep the early season momentum going.
