NORTH Devon cruised to a seven-wicket win at Sidmouth in the first round of the Sunbelt Rentals Devon T20 Cup.

Sidmouth were restricted to 106 for nine in their 20 overs with Jash Patidar (22) and South African professional Codi Yusuf making the only scores of note.

Josh Atkinson was the pick of the North Devon bowlers with a three-for-16 haul that included the dangerous Yusuf. Jack Moore had two for 22 and South African Darren Butler’s one for 16 contained a T20 rarity… a maiden over!

Butler (38) and Isaac Windley (38no) had victory wrapped-up with more than six overs un-bowled.
