COLTS cricket has returned Bideford as coaching sessions have commenced on the Westward Ho! ground every Friday evening.

Start time is 6pm and all ages from 7-16 are welcome. Parents can enjoy a drink from the bar while sessions take place.

Places must be booked in advance with colts co-ordinator Mike Ball on 07899 742757.

Next week, from Tuesday, July 28, Bideford start their 15th annual summer coaching camp for young cricketers in the 7-13 age bracket.

The camps will be run by Bideford Cricket Club, supported by the Bideford Bridge Trust, and will be managed by ECB qualified coaches.

Coaching camps will take place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30am-12.30pm. Each session costs £6 per youngster.

Dave Staddon, one of the youth organisers at Bideford CC, said: “All Social distancing measures will be observed at both events and all current guidelines will be followed.”

Staddon added: “Pre booking for all events is essential.”
