THE dining room is filling up for the David Shepherd Cricket Trust luncheon with former England spinner Geoff Miller.

Tickets went on sale a little more than two weeks ago for the lunch date at Exeter Golf & Country Club on September 27.

Half of the 160 lunch places have already been snapped-up, either by groups or individuals.

Lunch service starts at 12.30pm, but early arrivals will be able to relax in the bar from 11am. The bar will remain open throughout the event.

Tickets are £40 per person or £400 for a table of 10.

Diners are asked to choose their meals in advance to help the catering staff at Exeter Golf & County Club.

Lunch is a two-course affair. Choices are: mains: roast pork tenderloin, swede fondant, apple puree, cabbage, bacon, glazed potato, black pudding and cider sauce (1) or fillet of sea bream, crushed herb potatoes, leeks, baby turnips, chervil and mussel cream (2); desserts: treacle tart and vanilla cream (1) or pear crumble with stem ginger ice cream (2).
