Niall Waterhoue - promoted by Seaton

LEADERS Plymstock will be watching the scorelines anxiously tomorrow night to see who goes past them at the top of the table.

Plymstock have no game as they were due to play Filleigh, who dropped out of the B Division just before the season started, leaving an odd number of teams.

Seaton, Thorverton, Cullompton or Ipplepen could all go past Plymstock. But not all of them as Seaton are at home to Cullompton and they can’t both win.

Seaton won at Brixham last time out despite being below full strength.

Joe Berry, skipper Ben Morgan and Naill Waterhouse all return to the 1st XI for Kersley Sutton (exams), 67-year-old keeper Andy Carter and John Hocking.

Thorverton skipper Andy Pitt has clocked the perils of the weekend off in advance and has it in mind ahead of the home game with Bovey Tracey 2nd XI.

“We need to get a positive result prior to having our bye week next week,” said Pitt.

“We then have a trip to Chudleigh and then Seaton at home the week after so taking the pressure of those two fixtures will be a bonus.”

Harry Choules is back to take the gloves and Will Denford drops out.

Kilmington, who have won one and lost the other since coming up from the B Division, are away to Chudleigh.

Team changes are the bane of skipper Brett Garner’s life and he has another batch to deal with.

“We are missing five again, maybe more, and will be going there with three players who haven't played yet this year, “ said Garner.

“Hopefully, the ones who have game time can carry us through

“We are just going to play our game, which is to enjoy the season and hopefully get a good outcome from it.”
