ACORN Antiques won the Devon CCC charity quiz night for the second year running … just.

The county club holds a number of fund-raising events in different locations as part of its community engagement programme.

A general knowledge quiz organised by Bovey Tracey CC and hosted at the Dolphin Hotel is one of the events. Bob Flack from the cricket club asked the questions.

The four-strong Acorn Antiques team won the quiz last year and triumphed ahead of the Deadly Sins and Buckland to win it again. They edged ahead in the fourth round and despite stumbling in the last three rounds held on to win by a single point. 

The winning team – Pauline Godfrey, Pete Bamber, Blair Godfrey and Sue Bamber - are friends of 30 years standing.

Money raised on the evening will be shared between the Devon Air Ambulance and Children's Hospice South West.
