You can't play cricket without a scorer - see story below for details of how to learn the skills needed

“THERE are exciting times ahead for the education of scorers in Devon,” said Nicholas Evanson, the legendary Torquay CC scorer and DACOs scorers’ representative.

Evo, as he is, known by most, has confirmed there is a club scorers course being run at Exeter CC on Sunday 3 and Sunday 10 March between 09.30am and 4.30pm and will cost just £30. Potential candidates can book via: http://booking.ecb.co.uk/d/ybqgwv

For scorers who want to learn about computerised scoring there will also be two FREE roadshows run by the ECB to showcase their scoring software package, which they released in March 2018.

More news to follow regarding dates and venues. However, they are likely to be in the Exeter and Plymouth areas in mid-March.

Any scorers new or old who want to develop their skills can contact Nick, who is always willing to help, at nevanson@hotmail.com or on 01803 614497.
