Plymstock U12 v Plymouth U12 11/7/18
Plymstock 105 for 5 Plymouth 109 for 2
On a sun drenched Deans Cross Plymstock batted first and made a steady start with Toby Jackson rotating the strike well to enable the free scoring Sam Joce to hit an excellent 27 not out before retiring , Matt Whalley added more pressure onto the Plymouth bowling attack and quickly scored 28. Plymouth stuck to their task well and runs became harder to come by and the final score of 105 was a fair reflection on a good contest between bat and ball. Pick of the Plymouth bowlers was Charlie Watson whose 4 overs went for for 11 runs .
In reply Plymstock put the squeeze on the Plymouth batsmen and runs were at a premium in the first few overs with the Whalley brothers bowling well. Slowly batting momentum started to grow and some fine shots from Aziz Rahmanzai 20 and Jake Smith 20 not out combined with some inspired running between the wickets by Jemina Johnson enabled Plymouth to score the winning runs in the nineteenth over.
