Sandford CC - the venue for Devon's game against Wales

SANDFORD CC are hosting a three-day Minor Counties game between Devon CCC and Wales staring on Sunday (June 24).

As only three clubs in the county host three-day games, this is one of the highest honours Sandford CC can receive.

Over the years Sandford CC has been recognised by umpires and officials as one of the best playing surfaces in the county and this is due recognition for everyone’s hard work.

Set in the delightful grounds of Creedy Park, the ground is set naturally within the rolling hills of mid-Devon and with a clubhouse and facilities fitting to host Minor Counties matches.

This will be the fourth time Sandford has hosted a Minor Counties game and it will the second time Wales have been the visitors.

Play starts daily at 11am. Entrance for spectators will be free, but there will be a small charge for cars.

Devon are one of the leading counties in the competition and their record in all formats is among the best. They have won seven Minor County titles, five one-day crowns and are in finals day for the new T20 competition later this season.

This is an opportunity for cricket fans and everyone to see the best players in the county in a three-day game.  Refreshments will be served throughout each day.

Sandford CC welcomes you all to the ground and the Bill Matten Pavilion and hope you enjoy the very best cricket that the county can provide.
