Ivybridge v Yealmpton U14 - 10/6/18

Sunday morning at Filham Park was the setting for Yealmpton's visit to Ivybridge. The home side won the toss and like their last game decided to put the pads on first and set their visitors a target. Unlike their last game, the innings did not start as well as Yealmpton's Ed Slater took 2 early wickets. Ben Cornford (18) and Will Stevenson steadied the ship before Will retired on 50*. Zach Dunn continued his impressive form with a quickfire 42*, closing Ivybridge's innings on 155-3.

Yealmpton's batting line up struggled as Ivybridge juggled their bowlers around and wickets were shared between 4 bowlers that then paved the way for West Devon U10 player Jake Dunn, making his U14 debut, to get amongst the batsmen, returning with figures of 3-10 from 3 overs, very nearly taking a hat trick. Yealmpton closed on 61-8, meaning Ivybridge won by 94 runs.
