BARNSTAPLE & Pilton have made some backroom changes ahead of the new season.

Matt Jarvis has taken over as chairman from Lee Cole, who has been in the job for the past five years.

Jarvis has been with the club from the age of 11, played up through the age groups and is a 2nd XI stalwart. He previously served the club as commercial manager, and has also taken on the captaincy of the North Devon league 1st XI.

The new secretary is Peter Wright, well known around youth circles in Devon as an age-group coach.

Wright takes over from Patrick McEndoo, who stepped in two years ago when the post last became vacant.
