THE League of Friends comes to a climax on Sunday (August 13) with finals day at Cheriton Fitzpaine.

The league season ended with Newton St Cyres topping the table ahead of hosts Cheriton Fitzpaine.

The format for finals day is the top four playing off to determine the twenty20 champs.

Cheriton play third-placed Yeoford at 11.00 am. Table-toppers St Cyres have a 2.00 pm date with Exeter Erratics, who finished fourth.The final is scheduled for 5pm.

Attractions other than cricket include an all-day barbecue, a bar and cream teas.

Free parking is available in an adjoining field, well out of range of the six hitters!
