THE outdoor season may still be in full swing, but preparations are already under way for the start of indoor cricket.

The Derriford Indoor Cricket League for clubs in and around Plymouth starts its 26th season in October 2017 and will run until March 2017.

Games are played on Sundays normally start at midday.

Each game lasts around an hour and a there is a 15-minute turnaround between games. The last game finishes around 8.15pm.

Last season the league operated with two divisions. There is also a knockout cup competition, where the winners go on to represent the league in the Devon finals.

Teams who go out in the first two rounds of the KO cup go into a Shield competition.

The league’s annual meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 30 at the Derriford Leisure Centre (7.30 pm).
