Finlay Trenouth - missing against Berkshire

DEVON have added two players to their squad for Sunday’s Unicorns Trophy group game against Berkshire at Henley.

Eleven of the 12 on duty in the win over Dorset at Instow on Sunday are retained with batsman Dan Pyle and seamer Scott Barlow added.

Pyle was overlooked for the game against Dorset. Barlow was unavailable which paved the way for Bovey Tracey’s Hugo Whitlock to make his Devon debut.

Definitely out is opening batsman Finlay Trenouth, who has a school match for Millfield that takes priority.

Keith Donohue, Devon’s director of cricket, said the only other doubt was over spinner Dom Bess who may have Somerset commitments.

“Once we know who is or isn’t available, then we can think about the final 12,” said Donohue.

Spinner Jamie Stephens was the odd-man out at Instow, where Devon went for an extra seamer instead.

With Barlow back and a guaranteed selection, one of Whitlock, Dan Goodey or Josh King may find their places under pressure.
