BIDEFORD Cricket Club's preparations for the new season get under way next Friday (March 10) at Bideford College from 7 - 9pm.

Club captain and qualified coach Paul Heard will lead the net practices and all players, old and new, are welcome to go along.

Training sessions take place every Friday evening in March.

The club runs two teams in the Tolchards Devon League on a Saturday and two teams in the North Devon League on Sundays.

In addition there are more than 20 mid-week friendly fixtures planned and a number of social events already in the calendar.

“With a comfortable bar and a great location on the sea-front in Westward Ho! it's a great place to enjoy the summer,” said committeeman Ian Hayter.
