Looking for winter sunshine

The Katamatite Cricket Club is seeking a UK-based player to boost our Premier Division side for Season 2017/18.
Ideally it would be a top-order batsman or opening bowler, but we would be open to any quality cricketer.

Though we are a small rural community club we boast the perfect location for overseas visitors to have an Australian experience, during your time with us, whilst playing a high standard of cricket.
Here's what's on offer - the experience:
You would be based in our bigger neighbouring town of Cobram, as part of your travel and accommodation package.
There are a number of prospects for employment (to be confirmed closer to time) in order for you to make some spending money, and Katty CC are happy to fund you getting a Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate or other if need be.
Cobram is situated on the mighty Murray River; Recreational Fishing and water sports are way of life for a number of our Club families, so there'll be plenty of opportunity to grab a seat in one of their boats to have some fun in the Summer sun during your downtime.
We are a little more than 2 hours from Melbourne (which isn't that far in Australia) and have a big group going along to the Ashes Boxing Day test - so there's a ticket and a ride for you!
Here's what's on offer - the cricket & the Club:
Katty CC have a maintained a competitive side in the top grade of our league - the Murray Valley Cricket Assoc. and our short-term plan aims to boost that level of success via strategic recruitment, whilst mentoring junior talent to come through in the medium to long term future.

We have amazing new facilities, opened in 2013, as good, if not, better than bigger-town opposition clubs.

And our curator's pride and joy turf wicket has been assigned for finals and representative matches over several consecutive years now.
So here's the question:
As we go through the process we will provide a local (UK based) contact for you to chat with; he was our last and most successful Englishman to call Katamatite home.
