Clubs & Programmes Manager

Salary:  £26,000K - £28,000K per annum, plus expenses & pension


In preparation for the imminent departure of our current Clubs Development Officer, Matt Cooke, the Devon Cricket Board Ltd seeks to employ a highly motivated, driven and competent Clubs & Programmes Manager to work as part of their development team

This role will work towards the effective delivery of quality cricket across the County, supporting the network of clubs across Devon, offering multiple development programmes that increase participation, increase numbers of volunteers and create sustainable community clubs.

These programmes will include All Stars Cricket, ClubMark, Women’s Softball Festivals, The 2019 Cricket World Cup, ECB Junior Club Championships (Under 13 & 15) and the Under 19T20.

The successful candidate will line manage our Club & Community Coaches to also support and achieve these objectives. 

The successful candidate is likely to have experience of working in sports development and working with various partners, developing core sporting activities and increasing the number of people taking an interest in cricket.

You will need to be passionate about and committed to cricket development at a local level and for this role. It would be an advantage if you have experience of development at a grassroots level coupled with a sound knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the game.

Candidates must demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised using their own initiative. You will be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm together with good administration and organisational skills. Equally you will be an excellent communicator with a passion for the development of cricket/sport for young people.
