Tolchards Devon Cricket League asks the question

Player Survey 2019

The Tolchards Devon Cricket League have launched their 2019 player survey earlier this week.  The survey is aimed at those clubs with teams in the C Division and below.  It is now open but will only be live until Sunday 1st September.  After this time the results will be analysed and presented to the Divisional meetings on 23rd and 24th September.

There has been some feedback that clubs in the lower divisions would prefer few overs in their games.  The survey is aimed at testing the level of support for this.

Despite England’s amazing win in the 2019 World Cup, levels of participation within the game still give cause for concern.  Since 2016 a number of teams have been withdrawn from the League, whilst other clubs have merged to provide a stronger base going forward.

Ed Leverton, League secretary, said: "As part of what we routinely do, it is important that cricket within the League reflects the needs of those who play it.  The survey is mainly focused around the length of matches and we’d like to hear from as many players as possible."

The survey is currently live and can be accessed via the following link https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/5V2TDHZ
